Module 2

First week I watched the tutorial video 1 and create an account in Mapbox. We took several images of interior and exterior places that we found in Sheridan College. And I used the images to play with the map in Mapbox, styling 25 maps of Sheridan College in Mapbox and organized them in the Formstorming Activity 1 file.

Second week, I folloed the tutorial video 2,3 and 4 to have an understanding of laser cutting, bivariate map and projection mapping. And I screenshot 25 images of my process work

Activity 2

I used the colourChoose color pallette that provided in the file, and followed the tutorial video 2 to style my map I followed the tutorial video 2 to make some changes for the lable I add the cycling_routes.geojson file for data visualization I followed the tutorial video 2 to adjust the thickness and colour of the lines I add the Open_Data_Coyote_Encounters.geojson file for data visualization I followed the tutorial video 2 to adjusting the colour and the size We went to buy a piece of wood at Sheridan Bookstore in a group of three We followed the tutorial video 3 to edit the images we want We went to the laser cutting room and start layer cutting Laser cutting process 1 Layer cutting process 2 There’s one piece that didn’t cut through The back of the one that didn’t cut through The final result of the laser cutting of our group The final result of the laser cutting of our group I followed the tutorial video 4, I'm adding effect - corner pin to my Main I add effect-corner pin to my Side and Entrance I add shatter effect to my front layer I followed the tutorial video to copy paste the shatterEffect and wallKeys to my wallDesign I followed the tutorial video to copy paste the shatterEffect and wallKeys to my wallDesign for side wall I followed the tutorial video to put the IXD logo and Sheridan logo in it I created a pre-comp for all the layers except the SSU texture layer I add mask-subtrack to all of the doors and windows final design and set it to 4 seconds And I export that

Spatial Workshop 2

Location: Learning Commons <br> <br> ideas: <br> <br> <ul> <li>Individual Sound Proof pods for individual studying. We have group study rooms.</li> <br> <br> <li>Dynamic lighting depending on the time of day. Colder colours for later times of the day and warmer colours for daytime.</li> <br> <br> <li>Moveable white board and/or glass walls to write on. The current ones in the learning commons are placed on the wall permanently.</li> <br> <br> <li>Smaller printers on the wall for study rooms so it’s more accessible.</li> <br> <br> <li>On the display case, it doesn’t update so it would be nice to have something new to look at like in the Art pit, where student art work is placed there year round. There could be a projection of student work from the animation, illustration, photography, film, and IXD programs.</li> </ul> And we decided to focus on the Dynamic Lighting <a href='https://www.youtube.com/embed/tgbNymZ7vqY' target='_blank'><p>Project Video Link</p></a> Each table will be equipped with a lamp. The lamp is extendable and retractable. Users can adjust it according to their needs. <div class='container'><iframe class='responsive-iframe' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/tgbNymZ7vqY'></iframe></div> The light will be able to change colour depends on time and weather. (warmer light colour in winter, cooler light colour in summer) Similar thing, it's a lamp on the table that can change brightness and colour depends on the brightness in the room
